"I made a mistake — and I don't think anyone's noticed yet. Do I say something, or let it go?"

Forged Method

Framework + foundation

That window — where you know and no one else does yet — is closing whether you act or not. The only thing in question is who's standing there when it does.

Voluntary disclosure and discovered disclosure are not the same conversation. One is a person who caught their own error. The other is a person who got caught.

Own it

Name the mistake precisely — not "something might be off," but exactly what happened. Precision now shapes everything that follows.

Fix what you can first

Don't walk in empty-handed. Correct what's correctable before you raise your hand. Bring a problem that's already partway solved.

Go

One sentence: "Here's what happened, here's what I've already done, here's what I still need." You're not dropping a problem — you're bringing them into a recovery already underway.

One Move

Before the day ends, fix what's fixable — then go to the person who needs to know, today, while it's still your story to tell.

Luke 22 / John 21 — Peter carried three days of drift that didn't have to last three days. The door back in was always open.
